The 2026 World Cup will be held in 48 countries. It is being staged in cities throughout the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

The winning bid for 2018 was selected by Canada, the U.S. and Mexico. This beat out Morocco. The World Cup was hosted by the United States in 1994. Mexico hosted it in 1970 and 1986.

The tournament will now have 48 teams instead of 32. The tournament will be held in three host countries for the first time.

These are the cities that FIFA, the international soccer governing body announced as the 2026 host cities. Vancouver – Seattle – San Francisco – Los Angeles (SoFi Stadium) – Guadalajara, Mexico – Kansas City – Dallas – Atlanta – Houston – Monterrey (Mexico) – Mexico City – Toronto – Boston – Philadelphia – Miami – New York/New Jersey

Cities that were not chosen included Cincinnati; Denver; Edmonton, Canada; Nashville, Tenn.; Orlando, Fla. as well as Baltimore.
